A rocking chair isn't just for women and children though. My dad loved ours and he was the one who always got first dibs on it. It's amazing how much these chairs are attractive to people of all ages. You definitely can't go wrong with one of these so I suggest getting down to your local furniture store and picking one up for yourself.
The rocking motion relieves stress. Yes, your child can be stressed out by your going to the grocers and leaving her behind with the nanny or with older siblings. She could be pressured by the demands to eat her vegetables or stop bedwetting. If you notice her reverting to thumb sucking, nose-picking, and hair twirling – that's it. She's stressed out.
The rocking chair is one of the most popular chair types today, used by many people around the world for relaxation and relieving stress. Since its emergence around 1700s, the rocking chair has been helping thousands of people sleep better through relaxation, relieve lower back pain for the elderly people and pregnant women, and calm crying babies.
